ABOUT THE ARTIST WATSON JANGALA ROBERTSON

Watson Jangala Robertson was born in 1979 in Alice Springs, Northern Territory.  A remote Aboriginal community located 290kms north-west of Alice Springs.

Watson Robertson was born into a family of established Warlpiri artists-who would take him out bush, around Nyirrpi an d Yuendumu, showing him sites and teaching him the traditional ways of his country.  He attended the local school and the past few years has been living in Nyrippi, a remote Aboriginal community 130kms north-west of Yuendumu.
