Which countries do you send Australian gifts and gift hampers to?
We do not send hampers or Australian gifts to the following areas due to prohibitive customs taxes and duties; or challenges with guaranteed clearance of local customs.
- We do not send to any Central or South American countries (e.g. Mexico Brazil, Chile, Peru)
- We do not send to any African Countries
- We do not send to Eastern Europe
- We do not send to Spain, Portugal or Italy
GIFT HAMPER CONTENTS
CAN I CUSTOMISE MY Australian gift?
If you would like us to send your gift as a hamper, please also select a beautiful keepsake box for it to be put in here. If you do not select a box, your gift will be wrapped in normal gift wrap as opposed to coming as our signature keepsake hamper boxes.
Can I send Alcohol?
We DO send hampers with alcohol in them to Australia, UK and Japan only.
We DO NOT send alcohol to any other countries due to customs regulations and prohibitively high taxes and duties charged in other countries.
If you wish to send a hamper without alcohol, please select the ‘no alcohol’ option and the price of the hamper will adjust online accordingly.
How much does it cost to send my gift?
Delivery anywhere within Australia is free for orders over $100, and $9.95 for standard shipping for orders under $100.
Delivery to International Destinations is $80.
We have negotiated excellent rates with DHL Express so your gift will get sent first class without the first class price tag.
Included in the freight price is
- Customs paperwork completed for you
- International Taxes and duties payable – so the person you’re sending your gift to never has to worry about extra costs charged to collect their gift
- Assistance with customs clearance where additional information requested by them
- Door-to-door tracking of your gift
- Confirmation of delivery
What happens if my gift gets stuck in customs?
Approximately 5% of gifts sent receive a random fuller check by customs in the country they are being sent to.
This is a completely normal process.
When this happens, customs may request more information on the shipment contents; and/or contact the person receiving the gift to ensure it’s going to a legitimate person and address; and/or hold the item for a standard period (usually approx. 5-7 working days).
When this happens, we open a case with DHL Express to ensure we receive regular updates on progress which we share with you.
Can you do a bespoke hamper especially for me?
If you are placing a corporate or other order over $1,000 please contact us at hello@istillcallaustraliahome and we’d be delighted to help you with gifts for your special occassion.
For orders under that, unfortunately we are primarily a online-only store; and not staffed up to manage bespoke small orders. In this case, we invite you to make your own hamper online by choosing your hamper box and adding anything available on the site. We’ll then pull together your special bespoke choices in the 1 hamper box and send for you as instructed.
